I've done it and I shouldn't have. I've started listening to Christmas music. It's started already. By a week or so from now I'll be tired of it, I'm sure.

In other news, I finally finished a project I gave myself for my room! I finished drawing the school, now I want to add color, but it's mostly done after re-drawing it three times. I'm very proud of it. I've actually gotten some good sleep now. I'm ready for the holidays, though. I'm positive the students are.

I need something hot to drink now. I don't mind snow and the cold, but bleh.

So, I got a call from my father last night asking me if I could come to lunch with him, mom, and my sister on Saturday. I was planning on getting some nice, quality sketching done too. Now, I'm going to end up grilled. I hate going out with them because they always have to brag on Corinne. She's a doctor, she's done so much with her life. When am I going to stop teaching middle school, bla bla bla....

That sounded incredibly whiney in my head. I don't think I meant for that. I should probably veer away from that one.

Anyway, any suggestions as to reasons to tell him I can't go?

AND! I need two models for an art project I'm doing. One male, one female. Any volunteers, it's nothing bad, just standing or sitting somewhere and staying still.

I like to get my strengths into my teaching as often as I can. So, I like to do illustrations on the chalkboard, and I even paint sometimes. There are some really interesting ways to get kids involved. That's not the point! I was painting to show an example of something today, I really had a good point too, but I ended up getting pain on my pants. I'm not talking just a little bit of pain, I'm talking a major gob of paint. When I was in college it was easy to just write it off as, "Oh, I'm an art student." Now, it kind of looks bad. I'm a 31 year old woman walking around with paint on my pants.

Oh, well. I'm not going to complain. I'm supposed to be...lesson planning and worrying about teacher things, right? Well, things more on the administrative level, I guess.

I suppose I should say I'm Kiera Chang. I've had the 7th and 8th grade split homeroom for five years. My specialties are in visual art and computer technology. Yeah, I'm that dorky. I'm pretty good with computers in any capacity and always willing to answer questions or help in any way I can.

I know I'm rambling by now....so that's all.
